We aim to get more people cycling more often through our events, community initiatives and advocacy. There are many reasons to be a member of Bicycling Western Australia (BWA). In addition you will receive a copy of the bi monthly published “Ride On” magazine. One of the ways we are making WA a better place to ride, is by encouraging people to ride to work or school. Ride to Work Day celebrates bike commuting within the workplace as an alternative means of transport, while encouraging Australian workers to adopt a healthier and environmentally sound means of commuting. Through membership contributions we have developed a strong voice to government, to lobby for better bicycle infrastructure in Western Australia. Our objective is to improve the bike riding facilities to allow more people to enjoy bike riding more often. Our popular events are excellent fun for ALL cyclists, from the novice to the serious road cyclist. We also cater for families and for people with disabilities. Cyclo Sportif has something for everyone who is looking for fun participation rides, insurance protection and a healthy lifestyle. Our BWA events are designed to showcase some of WA’s spectacular routes, while having a great day out. The Five Dams Challenge is a 234Km ride through the Perth Hills, where as our Community Rides follow the coast roads.
